Fiona Kelly & Amanda Rice

Fiona Kelly and Amanda Rice invite you for tea at the Kitchen Table, 24 Nicholas Street, a domestic space open to the public housing an interactive installation.

Fiona Kelly creates work which is influenced by the surreal aspects of contemporary life, dealing with the vagaries of urbanization and the domestic. She adopts commonplace objects to address social concerns creating subjective narratives and humorous allegories.

Amanda Rice is informed by found detritus and unwanted materials often removed from their original context losing their logical meaning often giving a sense of displacement. Her work playfully references the banal and the disposability of the printed image which discusses both the interior and exterior in urban environment.
