Alannah Byrne

Alannah Byrne recently graduated with a first class honours BA in Fine Art from the CIT Crawford College of Art and Design. Through the exploration and development of ideas by use of various mediums her work demonstrates the existing struggle between the old and the new, sculpture and video, line and form with a view to making evident their shared dialogue. In her work importance is continually placed on the process rather than the end result. Repetition is an important reoccurring theme in the artist’s work as a means of recognizing people’s need for ritual and the prevalence of such in present times.
