JUZA WONGKUMAD
Juza Wongkumad
Venue: Jeffer, 10 Patricks QuayI come from Thailand having migrated to Ireland six years ago, and therefore sometimes find difficulty expressing my thoughts in English. One of the ways
I break down my personal language barriers is with musical sound, using found objects to make visually pleasing musical instruments, influenced by a mixture of Eastern and Western cultures and sounds. Musical instruments not only influence your feelings and moods but they help break down the barriers that can sometimes build up when different languages and cultures collide My work uses these instruments to create sculptural forms, which invite the viewer to participate in.
